Psychometric properties of the pathological buying screener: Reliability and validity study

Objective: The Pathological Buying Screener (PBS) is a self-report scale used to evaluate compulsive buying behavior. aim of this study was assess the validity and reliability Turkish version PBS in nonclinical sample. Method: A total 457 adult participants aged 18-64 years were enrolled study. Internal consistency, test-retest structure, concurrent criterion-related predictive analyses conducted ensure for use with population. As part study, all asked complete battery scales: Compulsive Scale, Brief Symptom Inventory, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-Short Form, PBS. In order examine reliability, 75 questionnaire once again 2 weeks after first administration. Results: results revealed that had good internal consistency reliability. findings supported validity, 2-factor consistent original form.
